About 3 miles of hiking trails and an observatory boardwalk.

Public Access

Recreational hiking/nature study/environmental education allowed by appointment with the FWC office in Lakeland (863-648-3205). These uses are restricted to designated nature trails, boardwalks, and observation decks and are not permitted during nesting season of wading birds. The wood storks lay eggs from March to late May, with fledging occurring in July and August.

Location

Along southeastern boundary of Pasco County.

From the South: From I-4 take exit 32 - SR 98. Take SR 98 north for 13.2 miles to SR 471. Take SR 471 north for 3 miles to entrance on the Westside (left).

From the North: Entrance is 18 miles south from intersection of SR 50 and SR 471, entrance on Westside (right).
