A Daily-Use Permit is required to enter this area, unless you have purchased a Wildlife Management Area Permit. To hunt or fish you must also possess the appropriate license and permit.

Public Access

During non-hunting days, public access other than by foot, horse, or bicycle is prohibited. Motorized vehicles are permitted one day prior to the archery, muzzleloading gun, general gun hog, and spring turkey hunts, and by people in possession of a valid Hilochee fishing permit. (Fishing permits are free and may be obtained by calling the Hilochee Wildlife Management Area Field Office at (352) 241-8501.) Vehicle use regulations.

Location

Lake and Polk counties. From the intersection of I-4 and U.S. Hwy. 27, go north on U.S. 27 for approximately 10 miles. At the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 27 and C.R. 474 (Lake County), turn west and go approximately 3 miles to entrances located on C.R. 474. To go to the Riddick Grove Road entrance on U.S. Hwy. 27, from the intersection of I-4 and U.S. Hwy. 27, go north for approximately 12 miles. The entrance is on the west side of U.S. Hwy. 27.
