Volunteer Rita Grant assists with the Incredible Edible program.

So . . . You want to Volunteer?

As a volunteer at Chinsegut Nature Center, you will assist the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to carry out its mission of conserving fish and wildlife resources for future generations, through a variety of ways.

What are the Opportunities?

You can volunteer for many important tasks from maintaining trails* to answering phones in the office*, from distributing public information to removing invasive exotic pest plants*. You might lead interpretive programs*, compile historical information*, collect field samples, document special events through the lens of a camera*, or assist in any number of general activities on the grounds* of the Chinsegut WEA.

Whatever the project or task, you may be assured that your contribution is appreciated!

How Do I Sign Up?

Fill out an application of interest and submit it electronically. The Chinsegut volunteer coordinator will then contact you directly with a more detailed application and schedule a time to meet with you.  If your schedule permits, you may be invited to attend a volunteer program orientation and training that begins each year in January. For more information about volunteer opportunities around the state, contact an FWC volunteer coordinator*.
