Description:
Ninety-five percent of this marine park is underwater and features colorful coral reefs and undeveloped keys in Biscayne Bay, southeast of Miami. There are three-hour glassbottom boat tours, snorkeling/scuba trips, and canoe rentals. Most of the keys are covered by mangroves and tropical hardwood hammocks.
Watchable wildlife:
The glassbottom boat tour introduces you to the park's underwater world of fish and coral without getting your feet wet. Snorklers and divers can experience underwater wildlife (including the coral, which are animals) firsthand. Ospreys, double-crested cormorants, brown pelicans, black skimmers, and various shorebirds are seen over the water and on the shores of the islands.

Directions:
In Homestead, take Exit 6 off Florida Turnpike (Homestead extension) onto Tallahassee Road, drive south to North Canal Drive (SW 328th Street). Continue until the end of road. Or, from U.S. Highway 1 in Homestead, turn east onto North Canal Drive, then continue until the end of road.
