The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering a free bowhunting education course in Palm Beach County on Oct. 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Gator Guns and Archery Center, 2154 Zip Code Place, #7, West Palm Beach.

Florida bowhunters in the north central region of Florida will have three opportunities to attend a National Bowhunter Education Foundation certified bowhunter education course this fall. 

The Great Outdoors Day Free Kids’ Fishing Derby is July 25 in Kissimmee

July 21, 2015 

The derby is Saturday, July 25, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. for children ages 5-15, at the Kissimmee Civic Center Pond, 201 E. Dakin Ave., Kissimmee, FL 34741. An FWC biologist will be on hand to assist participants. Bait and fishing equipment will be provided but children are welcome to bring their own.
