Cancelled: Oct. 7 Crystal River Women’s Saltwater Fishing Clinic

Due to the impending impact of Tropical Storm Nate to the Florida Gulf coast this weekend, the Women’s Saltwater Fishing Clinic scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7 in Crystal River has been cancelled.  

Hunter safety internet-completion courses offered in October

Those interested in attending a course can register online and obtain information about future hunter safety classes at MyFWC.com/HunterSafety or by calling the FWC’s regional office in Panama City at 850-265-3676. 

Goliath grouper in-person workshops scheduled for October; online workshops also available

. The FWC is seeking input on goliath grouper management, including the possibility of a limited harvest in Florida state waters.  

Share your bay scallop input with the FWC; workshops scheduled for October

The goal of these workshops is to gather input on the bay scallop fishery, including whether this year’s staggered season was more enjoyable and whether it had any economic impact on the coastal communities that depend upon this fishery.
