FWC removing aquatic plants from Lake Kissimmee

Approximately 29 acres of noxious aquatic plants, including water primrose, spatterdock, knotweed, burhead sedge and other tussock-forming plant species, are targeted for removal from the lake.

FWC Facts:
Shrimping is done at night because at least two of the principal shrimp species harvested in Florida, the pink shrimp and the brown shrimp, are nocturnal.
