FWC removing aquatic plants from Lake Kissimmee

Approximately 29 acres of noxious aquatic plants, including water primrose, spatterdock, knotweed, burhead sedge and other tussock-forming plant species, are targeted for removal from the lake.

The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission came into existence on July 1, 1999 - the result of a constitutional amendment approved in the 1998 General Election.
