Florida panther released back into the wild at Big Cypress National Preserve

USFWS, FWC and National Park Service staff successfully released a 2-year-old Florida panther back into the wild at its new home in Big Cypress National Preserve.  

Anglers, be aware – tagged cobia in Florida waters

Scientists with the FWC's Fish and Wildlife Research Institute are tagging cobia in order to track movement of the fish to learn more about the migration of the Gulf and Atlantic stocks.

Gulf sturgeon are considered anadromous, from the Greek, meaning fishes that travel back and forth between fresh and salt water.
