Residents, business owners and anyone who has interest in the Orange Lake Habitat Management Plan stakeholder process, are welcome and encouraged to attend the April 21 meeting from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Grand Lake RV and Golf Resort, off Highway 318 just east of I-75 next to the Ocala Jai Alai in Citra.

The HMP is a document that will be guiding the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) management actions at Orange Lake over the next five years.

This will be the last of four public meetings being held as part of HMP development. The primary purpose of the meeting is to present and receive stakeholder comments on the draft final Plan, which will be posted for public review on April 8 on the Orange Creek Basin website: https://orangecreekbasin.wordpress.com/.

This meeting will be facilitated by Normandeau Associates, Inc. (Gainesville), who are assisting the FWC in collecting stakeholder input and writing the plan.

For information about previous meetings, and an agenda for this meeting go to https://orangecreekbasin.wordpress.com/ or contact Ryan Hamm at 352-415-6961.

Please feel free to pass along this information to anyone who may be interested. The meeting location is handicapped accessible.
