Hunter safety internet-completion courses offered in August

Those interested in attending a course can register online and obtain information about future hunter safety classes at MyFWC.com/HunterSafety or by calling the FWC’s regional office in Lake City at 386-758-0525. 

Take a bowhunter education course in August

Students should register for the course they choose by calling the FWC's North Central Regional Office at 386-754-1654 or by visiting MyFWC.com/Bowhunt.  

FWC requests public input at Critical Wildlife Area workshops

In Franklin County the FWC is considering designating two new CWAs: Flagg Island and Lanark Reef. The FWC is also considering modifications to the St. George Causeway CWA.  

New fishing regulations go into effect to improve bass fisheries statewide

This regulation change will streamline existing rules, allow anglers to keep smaller, more abundant bass and protect larger bass in order to ensure that Florida continues to produce trophy bass in the future.
