The FWC is planning to treat hydrilla on Lake Lawne in Orlando on Tuesday, Dec. 13, weather permitting.

The FWC is planning to conduct a prescribed burn on 20,000 acres of Lake Okeechobee in a marsh area south of the Kissimmee River and north of the Indian Prairie (C-40) Canal. 

Snook harvest seasonal closure in Atlantic starts Dec. 15

The recreational harvest season for snook closes Dec. 15 in Atlantic state and federal waters, including Lake Okeechobee and the Kissimmee River, and will remain closed through Jan. 31, 2017, reopening to harvest Feb. 1.
