FWC goes big to conserve Florida wildlife

The FWC is initiating a statewide effort to conserve Florida’s most vulnerable wildlife. Staff are working to compile a package of potential new Critical Wildlife Areas for discussion at the June Commission meeting. 

Free outdoor event hosted April 30 at Beau Turner Youth Conservation Center

Families looking for a day of outdoor fun are invited to attend the FWC's 2016 Outdoor Experience, a free event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 30 at the Beau Turner Youth Conservation Center.  

Santa Fe River’s idle-speed, no-wake zone deactivated

April 25, 2016 

The Santa Fe River’s idle-speed, no-wake Zone 8 has been deactivated. There are now no active zones on the Santa Fe or Suwannee, according to FWC officials.
