Anyone interested in the management of derelict vessels in Florida is welcome and encouraged to attend an Aug. 3 meeting on that subject, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the commission chambers of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners, 2300 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce, FL 34982.

As part of its efforts to deter and address derelict vessels in Florida’s waterways, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) staff will meet with stakeholders to gather input as well as discuss potential proposals that would affect the management of at-risk and derelict vessels. This is one of five meetings being held around the state.
