FWC, partners protect wildlife by removing hazardous net from artificial reef

The 1,000-pound abandoned fishing net tangled on Tenneco Towers reef was offshore from the Miami-Dade/Broward county line.

FWC Facts:
The black racer snake usually swallows it prey while still alive. It is a very common species – perhaps the most frequently seen snake in Florida.
