Hunter safety course offered in Taylor Co.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission (FWC) is offering a free hunter safety course in Taylor
County.
The 16-hour course will be at the Taylor
Correctional Institute in Perry. Classroom instruction will take
place Feb. 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with live-fire exercises Feb.
27, starting at 8 a.m. Students must attend all class dates to
receive their certificate.
All firearms, ammunition and materials are provided
free of charge. Students should bring a pen or pencil and paper. An
adult must accompany children under 16 at all times.
The hunter safety course is required for everyone
born on or after June 1, 1975, to purchase a Florida hunting
license. The FWC course satisfies hunter safety training
requirements for all other states and Canadian provinces.
