The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission (FWC) is offering a free hunter safety Internet
completion course in Hamilton County.
The course will be at the First Baptist Church in
White Springs. Instruction will take place Feb. 11 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The range portion will be Feb. 12, from 8:30 a.m. until complete at
the Osceola Gun Range in Lake City.
Students must complete the Internet course prior to
coming to class and should bring a copy of the final report from
the online portion of the course. The final report doesn't have to
be notarized.
All firearms, ammunition and materials are provided
free of charge. Students should bring a pen or pencil and paper. An
adult must accompany children under 16 at all times.
The hunter safety course is required for everyone
born on or after June 1, 1975, to purchase a Florida hunting
license. The FWC course satisfies hunter safety training
requirements for all other states and Canadian provinces. People
