FWC searches for missing fisherman

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
(FWC) law enforcement officers are searching for a missing
fisherman in Apalachicola Bay off Franklin County.
George G. Sanders (DOB 12/11/68) of Eastpoint fell
off a commercial oyster boat at the East Hole Thursday around 4
p.m. (EDT) and did not resurface.
Several nearby commercial fishermen jumped in the
water and attempted to rescue Sanders immediately after he fell
overboard, but they were unable to locate him.
FWC officers, assisted by the Franklin County
Sheriff's Office and Wewahitchka Search and Rescue volunteers, are
participating in the search.
