The Florida Sportsmen's Conservation Association's
annual Outdoor Youth Day is Feb. 6 at the Everglades Youth Camp in
Palm Beach County. The camp is in the Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission's (FWC) J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management
Area.
Youth Day is designed to educate children on the
many different recreational opportunities available in Florida's
natural areas. The event's activities include wildlife shows,
swamp buggy and airboat rides, fishing, nature hikes and
muzzleloading gun demonstrations. FWC staff will help the
association with the activities. Through hands-on experiences,
youth will learn about the many diverse activities in Florida's
great outdoors.
