FWC to hold public workshop on captive wildlife issues

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission (FWC) will hold a public workshop in Tallahassee Friday,
April 23 from 3 to 5 p.m. to allow the public to discuss proposed
changes to captive wildlife regulations. Interested parties and
stakeholders are encouraged to attend.
The focus of the workshop will be the proposed
changes to rules regarding disaster and critical incident plans for
captive wildlife owners. Other topics may include requirements for
new captive wildlife structures to meet building and zoning codes
and notification by the FWC to counties and municipalities of an
application for a new authorization to possess Class I or Class II
wildlife.
The workshop will be held in Room 272 of the FWC's
Bryant Building, located at 620 South Meridian St.,
Tallahassee.
