Don't be left holding the boat

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has partnered with Volusia County's tag and title offices to help save taxpayers money and reduce the number of abandoned vessels cluttering Volusia County's waterways. The pilot program is the first in the state and aims to educate boat owners and potential boat owners about titling responsibilities when they buy or sell a boat.

A Perry resident was killed in a boating accident on the Santa Fe River Sunday, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) investigators.
