Defining/Identifying Demographics of Target Audience

Target Audience refers to the people who you are trying to reach with an educational message or advertisement in hopes of changing their behavior or increasing their knowledge. The Monofilament Recovery and Recycling Program appeals to a large diverse audience.

Generally, there are four main targets:

• Fishing interests and businesses
• Recreational waterway users
• Animal protection and habitat restoration interests
• General public (including children)
