Executive Order Number: 12-13 KISSIMMEE CHAIN OF LAKES AREA ROLLING MEADOWS UNIT The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, pursuant to Article IV, Section 9, of the Florida Constitution and Rule 68A-14.001, F.A.C., hereby adds the Rolling Meadows property ("Unit") in Polk County, Florida [as described in South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Resolution #2012-806 and within boundaries demarked by and as managed by SFWMD, containing 1,800 acres more or less] to the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes Area as established by EO 09-01. The following regulations shall apply to the Unit notwithstanding the regulations contained in 68A-15.006(4), F.A.C.: OPEN SEASON: Saturdays and Sundays only 1. Archery Season -October 13,2012 through November 11, 2012. 2. Muzzleloading Gun Season -November 17-25, 2012. 3. General Gun Season -December 1, 2012 through February 17, 2013. 4. Small Game Season -November 10,2012 through February 17, 2013. 5. Migratory game birds -On Saturdays and Sundays during the migratory game bird seasons as established by Rules 68A-13.003 and 68A-13.008, F.A.C., but only from September 22,2012 through February 17,2013. 6. Trapping -Prohibited. 7. Fishing -Allowed when public access is allowed. LEGAL TO TAKE: Legal to take: All legal game, wild turkey (bearded turkey or gobbler only), wild hog, furbearers (except bobcat and otter), non-protected mammals and fish. The take of antlerless deer is prohibited. GENERAL REGULATIONS: 1. Taking deer, wild hog and furbearers with dogs is prohibited. 2. Wild hog may be taken with no size or bag limit, but only during seasons established in this EO. 3. Erecting or maintaining treestands more than one weekend before the start of archery season through the last day of general gun season is prohibited. 4. Fires are prohibited. 5. Camping is prohibited. 6. Motorized vehicles and motorized vessels are prohibited. 7. Public access to the area is allowed only by boat from Lake Hatchineha and only from 1.5 hours before sunrise until 1.5 hours after sunset during established area hunting seasons and on September 15 and 16,2012. EO 12-13 Page 2 of2 8. Take of wildlife is prohibited on, from or across the levees. 9. Taking wildlife with firemms other than muzzleloading guns and shotguns is prohibited. 10. Construction or use of permanent blinds or structures is prohibited. 11. Tampering with or destruction of equipment, improvements, and water control structures is prohibited. 12. Public access is prohibited in portions of public hunting areas that are posted as "Closed" or "Restricted." 13. Releasing wildlife of any species is prohibited unless authorized by permit from the executive director. This order shall take effect upon signing and shall remain in effect until 11 :59 p.m. on February 17,2013, unless rescinded by subsequent order or rule.
