Florida Wildlife Magazine is the official publication
of the FWC. For 65 years, it has been our pleasure to bring you
news and information about Florida's great heritage of hunting,
fishing and nature-based recreation - not to mention the
breathtaking array of nature photography and wildlife art.
Regrettably, economic conditions made agency budget cuts
necessary. One such measure was to discontinue the
printing of Florida Wildlife after the
May-June 2011 issue.
There is good news, however. Florida Wildlife will
continue to exist - as a no-cost, online publication. The new
Florida Wildlife is being redesigned for viewing on
laptops and desktop computers, and ultimately on tablets and
e-reader devices (iPad, Kindle, Nook, etc.).
We have been researching and testing the best methods and
technologies for producing a high-quality, Web-based magazine, and
we hope to launch the new Florida
Wildlife in February 2012.
