Manatees, Florida's Gentle Giants provides engaging activities that teach children about our endangered and endearing state aquatic mammal.

The Florida Black Bear Activity Guide ( 7.7MB PDF) and Bears and You ( 3.5MB PDF) provides children with cool bear-oriented things to make, color and learn about Florida's black bear. Both booklets explain where bears occur in Florida, what attracts bears to homes and campsites and very importantly, tips for how to eliminate what attracts them avoid unwanted or unsafe encounters with black bears.

The Fish and Wildlife Research Institute's Activities for Kids page offers coloring and activity books about the marine environment.

At Panther Net, study about the endangered Florida panther, its natural history, habitat threats and conservation. On-line and off-line games and activities make learning fun. Teachers will appreciate the comprehensive lesson plans.

A Word Find activity and Coloring Pages teach children about Florida's sea turtles and how to help hatchlings.
