Snook

Common Snook (Centropomus undecimalis)
Removed
from the state list in 2001
The FWC
received a petition to reclassify the Common Snook in 1999. The snook
was evaluated according to the listing process rules and it was
determined removal from the Species of Special Concern List was
warranted. Final action was taken in 2001 and the Common Snook was
removed from the Endangered, Threatened, and Species of Special Concern
List. Below are links to the petition that was received in 1999, the
final biological status report, and a copy of the 2000 stock assessment
that was used as the species-specific management plan.
