Florida Small-Game Hunting |
||||
Florida has a wide variety of small-game hunting opportunities. However, many people simply do not know the best places to go. This web page was designed to give individuals an idea/recommendation of the best places to small-game hunt in Florida, and provide general small-game hunting info. Many people don't know that their local Wildlife Management (WMA) and Public Small-Game Hunting Areas (PSGHA) are excellent places to go small-game hunting. In an effort to better inform the public of the best small-game hunting opportunities, a survey of area biologists was done. The biologists were asked to asses the hunting outlook on their respective area (poor, fair, good or excellent). The outlook was then combined with harvest from the previous year and a table was compiled. The tables, in the box below rank the best small-game opportunities in a region and statewide.
Links to additional information on small-game hunting also is provided in the table below. If after reviewing the information on this web site, you still have questions, you can e-mail them to dovehotline@myfwc.com , or you can call or write one of the regional offices listed below.
