MOBILITY-IMPAIRED HUNTS

The FWC offers seventeen hunts on seven wildlife management areas (WMA) to those hunters Certified Mobility-Impaired . These hunts are reserved exclusively for mobility-impaired hunters. Hunters who can't walk, or can't walk without an assisting aid. Having a Disabled Persons Hunting and Fishing Certificate does not make you eligible for mobility-impaired hunts.

Mobility-impaired is defined as:
(A) Paraplegic
(B) Hemiplegic
(C) Quadriplegic
(D) Permanently dependent upon a wheelchair for ambulation
(E) Permanently required to use assisting aids to walk
(F) Permanently required to use braces or prosthesis on both legs
(G) Complete single-leg amputation.

Applications for mobility-impaired hunts are mailed each year directly to hunters who have been issued a Mobility-Impaired Certification Card. Applications are available in early June. Permits are issued by random selection from applications received by the FWC June 19 - July 6.
