BUY A FIVE-YEAR FISHING LICENSE GET LOTS OF FREE STUFF

There's probably no worse feeling for a fisherman enjoying a day of angling on some peaceful lake than to suddenly realize their fishing licenses expired two weeks previous. An excellent way to avoid that predicament is to buy a five-year freshwater fishing license during the month of July. The license can either be bought or renewed for $61.50 at your local tax collector's office or by calling 1-888-FISH-FLOrida (a $3.95 convenience fee applies). Licenses can also be bought on line at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Web site, www.myfwc.com/license.html. In either case you can begin fishing immediately with a receipt or code number which you'll be provided. For those anglers who purchase their five year or lifetime resident freshwater fishing license now, they'll receive their embossed license and free lures, magazines, premiums and other coupons valued at more than the $61.50 value of the license (click here for details). Anglers can purchase the license during July and set the activation date for as long as 60 days after they make the purchase, if their current license has not expired. The offer is made available to anglers by the FWC and a host of companies who support efforts to manage fish and wildlife here in Florida.
