BOAT RAMPS OPEN AT LOWRY AND MAGNOLIA LAKES
The boat ramps at Lowry and Magnolia Lakes fish management areas are now open for public use upon completion of an entire reconstruction of the facilities by the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Division of Freshwater Fisheries personnel.
Both of the popular fishing lakes have been closed for the renovation work which included over 100 yards of limerock at the Magnolia Lake ramp to stabilize the sandy soil.
"I think the public will be very pleased with the improvements and it definitely will be much better boat launching facilities at the two lakes," said Jerry Krummrich, regional fisheries administrator for the FWC.
Fishing is permitted during daylight hours and a Florida Fishing License is required to fish on any fish management area unless exempt by law.
