AREA 7 OF EMERALDA MARSH CLOSED FOR ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS

Access to Area 7 of the Emeralda Marsh in Lake County will be temporarily closed beginning Wednesday, July 5 for four to six weeks for safety reasons during construction on the area's boat ramp and parking facility. Area 7 is a popular fishing area and the upgrades will improve public access to the 350-acre lake.

The project is a joint effort of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the St. Johns River Water Management District.
