K-12
Education Programs
From Awareness to Responsible Action

The Florida WILD Action
Grant Program is a habitat improvement program that provides small
cash awards to Florida public and private schools that are serious about
implementing, maintaining and using a schoolyard habitat as an outdoor
classroom. The purpose of the program is to encourage schools to create or
enhance habitat that will benefit Florida's wildlife and that will be used
on a regular basis for instruction to teach students about wildlife and
conservation of natural resources as part of the school's regular
curriculum.
This program will be used
for projects during the current school year. Projects will be considered
for which the main faculty member(s) responsible has (have) completed: (1)
either a Project WILD or an Aquatic WILD workshop and (2) both a
Schoolyard Wildlife Activities and a Schoolyard Ecosystems workshop
provided by personnel trained in the Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission's (FWC) K-12 programs.
If you have met the above qualifications
and wish to apply for the next cycle of grants, contact
the Project WILD Coordinator.
