Waterfowl Gallery  -   Provides a picture and sound of common North American waterfowl, as well as breeding, migratory, and winter habitat requirements, and population status.  A Ducks Unlimited, Inc. site.

Ducks-at-a-Distance -  This is a highly distributed publication with waterfowl species identification (paintings and text) and natural history information.  A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service site.

Patuxent Bird Identification Infocenter - This site provides identification tips, photos, songs, similar species comparisons, life history, taxonomy, and range maps of North American birds, including waterfowl.  Site created and maintained by the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, U.S. FWS.

Species, Age, and Sex Identification of Ducks Using Wing Plumage-- USGS site with information from Samuel M. Carney's book of the same title.  This site provides identification tips (photographs) for wings of  individual species, as well as comparison of similar species. 

Ducks of the world (in watercolor) - Identify all migratory & exotic waterfowl,  adult and young, color plates showing plumage of: pairs, immature & eclipse, adults and offspring color phases within species.
