Total Area: 16 acres

Closure Dates: December 1 – September 31

Focal Species: Herons, egrets, ibis, roseate spoonbill, brown pelican, American oystercatcher.

Known as Bird island, this CWA is part of the Richard T. Paul Alafia Banks Sanctuary, managed by Audubon Florida. It hosts thousands of birds during the nesting season. The entire island is closed to public access each year.
