Objective 3: By 2017, address comprehensive adaptation
planning and incorporate these strategies into the action plan in
response to the threat of climate change to SGCN and their
habitats.
Description: Building off the climate change
chapter in the 2011 revision, the State Wildlife Action Plan will
integrate adaptation planning into a broader suite of habitats and
species for the 2015 revision. Results from the 2011 vulnerability
assessment will serve as template for identifying threats to
species from climate change and the adaptation recommendations will
be applied through the development of several pilot "on the ground"
adaptation projects as part of this objective.
