FWC staff have completed an internal review process for proposed changes to rules related to hunting and fishing regulations. These changes were recommended by the public, land owners and cooperators and staff. Recommendations which staff believe should be considered by the Commission for possible adoption are now ready for public input. Most of these changes would be effective July 1, 2008. You are invited to submit comments to FWC staff on these proposed changes. A summary of all written and electronic comments received will be made available to the Commissioners. All comments on these drafts must be submitted no later than 5 pm on Monday, October 1, 2007. FWC Commissioners will receive a conceptual review of these proposals on September 12 at their meeting in St. Petersburg. The results of this public input process will be presented to them at their December 5-6 meeting in Key Largo. Draft rules approved at that meeting will be published in the Florida Administrative Weekly and up for final adoption in February 2008 in Panama City. You will be able to comment on rules by clicking on the section you are interested in and filling out the form which will appear in a separate screen. |
