GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION

Campers are required to pay the $3 per person ($6 per vehicle) daily use fee at the entrance to the Prairie Lakes Unit. Detailed rules and regulations are available in the Prairie Lakes brochure which is available at the entrance. Please abide by all rules and regulations and enjoy your stay on Prairie Lakes.

Wildlife Management Area Permit (Resident and Non-Resident): $ 26.50
With a credit card campers may purchase licenses and permits via a toll-free number 1-888-HUNT-FLORIDA (1-888-486-8356) or visit our Web site  A processing fee will apply.
You don't have to pay the daily fee if you have a WMA stamp or are exempt (under 16, over 65, military, etc.). The $3.00 fee only applies to those that don't have a WMA stamp. 

 

CAMPGROUND RULES FOR ALL CAMPSITES:

(1) No firearms, recreational vehicles, or campers (primitive camping only).

(2) Carry it in, carry it out - NO LITTERING.

(3) All fires are to be extinguished before leaving campsite.

(4) No cutting of standing trees (dead or alive).

(5) No motor vehicles allowed at campsites.

(6) Youth groups must be accompanied and supervised by adults.

(7) Unless otherwise stated, the maximum number of people allowed per site is 30.

(8) Unless otherwise noted, facilities include: pit toilet, picnic table, fire ring, and pitcher pump  (Water is not certified as safe for human consumption). Special Note: Primitive toilets are not available right now.
