Welcome
to the
WMA Three Lakes/Prairie Lakes primitive camping area. There are
six different campsites available for your enjoyment. Campsites are
surrounded by large oak hammocks which provide shade and plenty of
wildlife activity. A wide variety of wildlife viewing opportunities
are available on the area. Commonly observed wildlife include deer,
hogs, turkey, squirrels, gopher tortoises, eagles, and a wide
variety of birds. All vegetation around campsites is native, and
common plant species include saw palmetto, cabbage palms, wax
myrtle, long leaf pines, and several oak species. There are two
hiking trail loops and Lake Jackson, Parker Slough, and the Jackson
Canal offer rewarding fishing opportunities. Enjoy your stay at
Three Lakes, and please help us keep our woods clean and natural for
the future.
