How to Get a Boating Safety Education Identification Card

• Take a course approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA).

• Submit your name, date of birth, return address, phone number and proof of completion of the course to:
  
  Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
  Division of Law Enforcement Boating Safety Section
  620 South Meridian Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399-1600
  

• Or you can take the "How to Boat Smart" correspondence course and follow the directions provided on the test.
  

• Visitors from out of state who do not have a card issued by their home state can take a Temporary Certificate test. Click here to see a list of participating vendors.
