Office of Strategic Initiative

The Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) houses The Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network, the Office of Policy and Accountability and the team responsible for FWC’s participation in Gulf Restoration. OSI staff works closely with Division, Regional and Office Directors to identify and coordinate the implementation of programs with boundary spanning implications that will benefit the FWC.

The average Florida manatee is about 10 ft. long and close to 1,200 lbs. They can reach up to 13 ft. and 3,500 lbs. Calves are 3-4 ft. long & weigh 60-70 lbs. at birth.
