New! Because of recent additional failures in the Total Licensing System (TLS) regarding other limited entry hunts, FWC staff have concluded that the risk of future failures has increased to unacceptable levels. As a result, FWC staff will be recommending a change at the February Commission meeting. The recommendation will be to change all of the hunts where permits are currently issued first-come, first-served (FCFS) to a random drawing (this will not apply to the Phase II or Phase III FCFS processes for alligator hunt permits). If approved by the Commission, this change would be implemented for all of the 2010 FCFS limited entry hunt types other than Recreational Use Permits. For additional information about this recommendation, you can preview the material that will be presented to the FWC Commissioners.
