The Florida Department of Health monitors and keeps records on human health and disease. The FWC is working with the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to monitor the current swine influenza situation. Although no cases of swine influenza have been documented in wild hogs (feral swine) in Florida, people who hunt wild hogs or otherwise come into contact with wild hogs should follow standard safety precautions.
