Adopt-an-Animal Gifts | |
Let your kids help you with this search for non-traditional gifts and you may pique their interest in animal conservation. Look into one of the adopt-an-animal programs sponsored by organizations such as the Save the Manatee Club, Caribbean Conservation Corporation (Adopt-a-Sea Turtle) or Audubon of Florida's Adopt-a-Bird Program (injured birds of prey). For a reasonable fee, gift recipients receive an adoption certificate, photograph, and other information on the adopted species. More importantly, your contribution aids animal research, education and conservation. Contact your favorite organizations and see if they sponsor adopt-an-animal programs.
