Adopt a Bird of Prey

photo of burrowing owl Burrowing Owl

A wonderful way for families to learn about birds such as the burrowing owl is through Audubon's Adopt-a-bird program. Participants can adopt an injured bird of prey and help in the care and release of hundreds of others. You'll receive a photograph, biography and adoption certificate for your bird, plus a subscription to Florida Raptor News.

Write to: Florida Audubon Society, Adopt-a-Bird Program, 1101 Audubon Way, Maitland, FL 32751, or call toll-free 1-800-874-BIRD or (407) 644-0190. Information can be found at www.audubonofflorida.org, where you can also place your adoption on-line.

Our mission: Managing fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people.
