Schedule

From 3/1/2010 to 3/31/2010

Last updated on 03/05/2010.  Most recent updates are highlighted.

Special activities:

  • Native plant nursery - every Thursday morning at Royce Ranch; schedule is flexible and individual work any day of the week is encouraged!  Your schedule becomes our schedule.
  • Lakewatch - Additional lakes and positions available.  If you have a boat and are interested in water quality we can arrange for training in this valuable program.
  • Invasive Plant - GPS location and identification. This is an ongoing program at Flamingo Villas and will continue at other locations.  If you would like to learn about GPS and GIS, check the schedule and contact the volunteer coordinator.
  • Youth programs - If you know of JROTC, scout troops or other youth looking for public service hours, we can bring them into our scheduled.  Contact the volunteer coordinator.
  • Turkey trapping - a new citizen science effort to assist FWC in trapping and tagging wild turkeys.  Activities will be at Three Lakes WMA (east of Lake Kissimmee) and on a private ranch near Arcadia.  Events will occur on short notice in January and February 2010.

To work on any of these you can write in a remark at the bottom of the sign-in page.
