The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission pursuant to sections 206.606 and 376.15, F.S., has established a program to provide grants to local governments for reimbursement for the removal of derelict vessels from the public waters of the state. The program is funded by an appropriation from the Florida Legislature.

 

 

FWC To Announce 3rd Round of Derelict Vessel Funding Availability

On February 8, 2017, the Derelict Vessel Program announced a third and final round of derelict vessel funding. The Commission Derelict Vessel Final Removal Funding Opportunity Program will be available on a First Come - First Served basis. Funding applications must be submitted between February 9, 2017 and April 30, 2017 on a continuous basis until the funds have been exhausted or April 30, 2017, whichever comes first. This opportunity is available for statewide derelict vessel removal assistance to city, county and state governmental agencies. Please see Guidelines and Application below.
